Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an educational establishment in Bury. The successful candidate will provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who may display challenging behaviors and require additional assistance to engage with learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, promoting their inclusion and participation in educational activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to identify and implement strategies to support students with SEN, including behavior management and learning interventions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
Requirements:
  • Degree-educated with a good classification.
  • Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training, issued within the last year.
  • Up-to-date Prevent Awareness and FGM training, issued within the last three years.
  • Recent behavior management training, completed within the last year.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.

  • A competitive rate of pay: £100 per day.
  • A full-time contract, with a minimum of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm working hours.
