About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our Infrastructure team at Galliford Try. As a Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in creating a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities, providing information to operatives and subcontractors.
  • Complete diary sheets and provide photographic evidence as required.
  • Undertake material reconciliations and ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
  • Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
  • Produce detailed site sketches and assist in maintaining quality records.
  • Assist in basic planning, monitoring, and programming.
  • Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
  • Control and minimize waste on site.
  • Identify and introduce new processes, techniques, and innovations on site.
  • Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.

About You:

  • Ability to work safely and read and interpret data and drawings.
  • Confident with standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.
  • Flexible attitude to work and problem-solving skills.
  • HND/Degree is desirable, and relevant CSCS card is required.
  • Office expertise and relevant experience are essential.
