About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our Infrastructure team at Galliford Try. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in creating a safe working environment and coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities.
  • Provide information to operatives and subcontractors, complete diary sheets, and undertake material reconciliations.
  • Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated, carry out as-built surveys, and produce D & D site sketches.
  • Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works are undertaken in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records.
  • Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming, and control and minimise waste on site.
  • Identify/assist in introducing new processes, techniques, and innovations on site, and ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.

About You:

  • You will have the ability to work safely, read and interpret data and drawings, and be confident with standard setting out techniques.
  • You will have a flexible attitude to work, problem-solving skills, and relevant experience in a similar role.
  • A HND/Degree is desirable, and you will hold a relevant CSCS card.
  • You will have office expertise and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
