We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our Infrastructure team at Galliford Try. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in creating a safe working environment and coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities.
  • Provide information to operatives and subcontractors, complete diary sheets, and undertake material reconciliations.
  • Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated, carry out as-built surveys, and produce D & D site sketches.
  • Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works are undertaken in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records.
  • Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming, and control and minimise waste on site.
  • Identify and assist in introducing new processes, techniques, and innovations on site.
  • Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.

About You:

  • Ability to work safely and read & interpret data and drawings.
  • Confident with Standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.
  • Flexible attitude to work, problem-solving skills, and relevant experience.
  • HND/Degree is desirable, and relevant CSCS card.
  • Office expertise.
