Creative Texture Expert Wanted at Frontier Developments Limited

We are seeking a highly skilled Creative Texture Expert to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality, immersive gaming experiences.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with expertise in Substance Designer to work on complex, editable materials and maintain consistent high-quality materials throughout our games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create complex, editable materials using procedural techniques
  • Maintain and update our Substance libraries
  • Work collaboratively with the Art team to ensure consistency in material quality
  • Develop custom tools in Substance Designer to enhance functionality, speed, and quality
  • Design custom generators and brushes in Designer for use in Painter
Requirements
  • At least one full game production cycle experience
  • Able to appreciate, respond to, and provide constructive critique
  • Strong observational skills and ability to translate reference into designer materials
  • Experience working collaboratively as part of a cross-disciplinary team
  • Extensive knowledge of Substance Designer
  • Solid understanding of physically based shading and rendering
  • Solid understanding of Substance Painter
  • Production experience with 3D authoring software (Maya)
