At CV-Library, we are seeking an experienced Principal Naval Engineer to join our team in Bristol.

We offer a competitive salary of £57,250 - £66,750 per annum, plus overtime and benefits including 14% pension, 25 days holiday, free shares, and more.

The role involves working on the largest shipbuilding programmes in the UK, supporting sea trials, inclining experiments, and commissioning activities for multiple submarine classes. You will also undertake research and development activities to develop world-leading capabilities in naval architecture.

Key Requirements:
  • A qualified naval architect with a degree in Ship Science, Marine Technology, or similar.
  • Experience working in engineering or postgraduate study.
  • Chartered Engineer status with RINA - Principal grade.
  • Eligibility for UK SC Clearance - UK Eyes Only.

In this role, you will work closely with our teams specialising in weights engineering, stability and hydrostatics, infrastructure support, seamanship and outfit, manoeuvring and control, fluid dynamics, design and development. As a Principal Naval Engineer, you will be responsible for using your knowledge of hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, seamanship, and outfit to support the largest shipbuilding programmes in the UK.
