**Job Title:** Asset Building Surveyor
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Building Surveyor to join our team at Alexander Associates. As a key member of our Property Services department, you will play a crucial role in providing commercially focused property services, maximizing return on investment, and supporting the delivery of our clients' economic, housing, and regeneration ambitions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Undertake pre-acquisition surveys to ensure the integrity and value of properties.
- Prepare detailed specifications and schedules of work, including tender documentation, and administer contracts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Advise on building defects and conduct surveys to provide reasoned recommendations for remedial action.
- Develop forecasted maintenance programs for individual properties and estates on an annual basis to ensure optimal asset management.
- Deliver capital projects, including dilapidations assessments, to agreed briefs, programs, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with the Lead Building Surveyor to deliver strategic corporate projects, including operational portfolios, non-operational properties, and corporate property portfolios, aligning with corporate strategy.
**Requirements:**
- Good working knowledge of Local Government Services working practices and methodologies.
- Expertise in Building Surveying, with a strong understanding of legislation and compliance within the specialist area.
- Experience working on corporate strategic projects, with a good understanding of the property/building surveyor specialist area.
