Campaigns and Communications Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Campaigns and Communications Officer to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of our campaign programme, making full use of digital channels, and working closely with the policy team and communications teams to help us achieve our objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and make recommendations based on up-to-date knowledge and analysis/evaluation of information.
  • Manage escalated or complex customer issues within the relevant area.
  • Contribute to the development of service plans to meet strategic business goals.
  • Research developments in relevant areas, collate and analyse information/data, and translate outputs into advisory reports/documents/actions as appropriate.
  • Lead on the development, implementation, maintenance, and management of systems, policies, procedures, and/or standards within the area of responsibility.
  • Work closely with others to support/manage the development and delivery of improvements in processes and procedures.
  • Prepare and present a full range of reports (both standard and non-standard) covering the area of responsibility.
  • Cooperate with and support colleagues, act in accordance with all policies and procedures that apply to the job, and understand the reasons for this.
  • Carry out all duties and responsibilities with reasonable care for the health and safety of self and others and report any potential hazards or unsafe practices to the line manager.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent or vocational qualification in a relevant subject or area.
  • Knowledge of the use of digital media and familiarity with different digital channels.
  • Experience of creating video and infographics for digital platforms.
  • Experience of working across a range of communications specialisms, including media, campaigns, marketing, and events.
  • Experience of working in a pressured environment and delivering results to tight deadlines.
  • A knowledge of national, regional, local, and specialist press.
  • Basic knowledge of local government, the services provided by local councils, and the responsibilities a council has to its residents.
  • Clear writing skills and the ability to write for a range of different audiences.
  • Excellent oral communications skills and the ability to maintain effective relationships at every level of an organisation.
  • Ability to translate complex information into a clear and approachable format for a wide range of audiences.
  • Good attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to operate to tight deadlines in highly pressured environments.

Additional Information:

The Council will undertake a financial fraud check for all new placements that start with the Council.
