Job Opportunity

Pentagon Motor Group is seeking a skilled Mobile Service Technician to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles in a safe and economical manner.

Responsibilities

As a Mobile Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your schedule and having responsibility for your own revenue
  • Travelling to customers' premises and carrying out routine servicing, light maintenance, and warranty/recall work
  • Observing, recognising, and reporting on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure
  • Examining vehicles completely and reporting orally or in writing upon the vehicle's condition, safety, and reliability and performance
  • Carrying out all work in a responsible and safe manner
  • Attending mandatory manufacturer and in-house skill development
  • Ensuring all service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork, and electronic documentation are fully completed and signed off

This role involves travelling, and you may be required to start your working day from home. The working days for this role are Monday to Thursday (week 1) and Tuesday to Friday (week 2), with suggested hours of 08:00am - 18:00pm to allow time to travel to and from customers.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum Level 3 City and Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Repair
  • Experience in diagnostics and using computers
  • A full, UK driving licence
  • A positive, right-first-time attitude
  • A strong team player mentality
  • The ability to work to a very high standard independently
  • A minimum set of basic tools
  • Good communication skills, with customers and internal staff alike
  • A willingness to learn and develop
