Job Title: Branded Medical Supply Chain Planner

Assystem is a leading international company accelerating the energy transition worldwide. We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our team at our customer's site in Derby on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a defined portfolio, acting as a single point of contact, and driving on-time delivery through effective planning. They will maintain the ERP and supporting systems, identify and prioritize delivery issues, and work with the supply chain to manage orderbooks and project plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with the planning cycle to produce a credible plan meeting customer demands, including inventory, logistics, and storage considerations.
  • Ensuring pre-production activities are undertaken to maintain robust and credible data, creating suitable supply plans and rectifying inaccuracies.
  • Working knowledge of load and capacity factors affecting the supply chain's ability to deliver against plan and offering mitigations.
  • Awareness of inventory logistics implications across the value stream and optimizing inventory while minimizing customer delivery risk and costs.
  • Providing robust answers to Sales and Operation Planning questions through the Demands Management process.
  • Carrying out and inputting to required business and operational reviews to understand capability to deliver to demand requirements and define actions to mitigate risks and issues.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification (e.g., APICS).
  • Experience of supply chain planning control is essential.
  • Understanding and experience of managing load capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deliveries and make balanced business decisions under challenging circumstances.
  • Understanding of different roles, functions, and processes (e.g., Manufacturing, Purchase, NPI, Quality).
  • Able to take responsibility for their own development.
  • Working knowledge of, and experience with, MRP and/or ERP systems.

Security Clearance: This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Due to the nature of work, the successful candidate must be a UK national or in MoD-approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
