Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pain Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust. As a Locum Consultant in Pain Medicine, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Pain Medicine service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage chronic pain clinics and procedure lists for patients
  • Contribute to the multidisciplinary approach across various domains of pain medicine
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit and continuing professional development
  • Engage in departmental and academic responsibilities, including attendance at the Chronic Pain MDT and monthly meetings
  • Develop and maintain a formal job plan with the Clinical Director and Chief Medical Officer

Requirements

  • Experience in managing chronic pain clinics and procedure lists
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pain medicine
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage in continuing professional development
