Position Overview
We are seeking applications for a 12-month fixed-term position as a Specialty Dentist specializing in Oral Medicine and Facial Pain. This role is situated within the Dental Medicine Department, which encompasses Special Care Dentistry, Oral Medicine, and Facial Pain. Our dedicated team provides outpatient services addressing all facets of oral medicine and facial pain, and we are currently expanding to meet the needs of our growing patient population.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients referred to our department. We are looking for a motivated clinician eager to enhance their expertise in managing this specific patient demographic. If you are passionate about contributing to a secondary and tertiary care environment focused on Oral Medicine and Facial Pain, we encourage you to consider this opportunity. You will collaborate closely with a team of Consultants and Trainees, fostering effective communication and professional relationships at all levels. Full registration with the GDC is a prerequisite for applicants.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Full registration with the GDC
- MFDS, MJDF, or equivalent qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of postgraduate dental clinical experience
- At least 1 year of postgraduate experience in an oral medicine specialist unit
- Experience managing facial pain patients within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable:
- MSc or higher training in Oral Medicine
- Experience in clinical teaching
