Registered Manager - Residential Children's Home for Learning Disabilities
Location: West Sussex
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 with performance-based incentives up to £10,000 annually
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager with a background in residential children's care to lead the opening of a new residential home focused on young people with learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will champion a therapeutic, homely atmosphere where children can thrive and reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the operational management of the home, ensuring it meets all regulatory standards and company policies.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can flourish and grow.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the team, promoting professional growth, ongoing training, and career development.
- Uphold robust safeguarding principles, prioritizing the welfare and safety of young people.
Requirements:
- QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent)
- Registered Manager’s Award / NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and Management, or other relevant management qualifications.
Experience:
- At least 2 years in a management role within residential children’s care over the last 5 years.
- Minimum 1 year of direct staff supervision experience.
- Familiarity with the Ofsted inspection framework.

- You have a passion for establishing a safe, nurturing home and shaping the future of residential care.
- You are a strong leader with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
