About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at South West Water Limited. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment across our operational sites.

You will work closely with our operations team to ensure that all electrical systems and equipment are functioning correctly and efficiently. This will involve carrying out routine maintenance tasks, fault finding and repairing electrical systems and equipment, and providing technical support to our operations team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment. You will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks on electrical systems and equipment
  • Fault find and repair electrical systems and equipment
  • Provide technical support to our operations team
  • Work closely with our operations team to ensure that all electrical systems and equipment are functioning correctly and efficiently
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in electrical systems and equipment
Requirements
  • Time served apprenticeship in electrical engineering
  • Relevant formal qualifications, such as City and Guilds or BTEC
  • Compliance with current IEE Regs 18th Edition
  • Fault finding and industrial/commercial experience
  • Full UK driving license
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science at grade C or above
