Finance Manager Job Description

London Film Academy is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial vitality and fiscal integrity of the organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic financial plans aligned with the organisation's vision and objectives. This will involve the development of meticulous financial forecasts, budgets, and reports, including cashflow management, analysing financial data, and offering critical insights to guide decision-making.

The Finance Manager will also be responsible for risk management and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations and safeguarding against financial risks. Additionally, they will oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function, including managing all aspects of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cost control and optimisation, payroll administration, and tax compliance.

This is an exciting opportunity to enhance the financial well-being of the LFA, establishing a foundation of financial sustainability that propels the organisation towards its future vision.

The ideal candidate will possess a Professional Certification such as ACA, CIMA, or AAT or equivalent, and significant experience in overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, managing financial risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organisation's overall goals.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Finance Strategic Planning & Implementation
  • All Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & Bookkeeping
  • Payroll and Taxes
  • Financial Forecasts, Budgets and Reports incl. Cashflow Management
  • Culture and Change Management

Essential:

  • Professional certifications such as ACA, CIMA, or AAT or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in financial management, financial analysis and budgeting skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including accounting software and ERP systems, Sage One Cloud based software for accounting and payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, systems and regulations related to finance and accounting in higher education.
  • Ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organisational goals.
