We are seeking a highly skilled Ecology Team Manager to join our Terrestrial Ecology Team at the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team focused on pure and applied research into terrestrial ecology, particularly focusing on birds and other taxa.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage farmland-focused field survey, review, and analytical projects, working closely with the Head of Terrestrial Ecology.
  2. Contribute to proposal writing, scientific reporting, literature reviews, data analysis and modeling, and field surveys.
  3. Lead and collaborate on new and ongoing research projects related to agri-environment and land management schemes across the UK.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD or MSc in ecology or a related field, with equivalent experience considered. This position offers a hybrid working regime, allowing flexibility in start and finish times for a healthy work-life balance.

The salary for this role is approximately £32,640 per annum, plus 11% employer pension contribution. The BTO's HQ is based in Thetford, Norfolk, but you will be able to work from home part-time.
