**Job Overview**

The British Trust for Ornithology is seeking a highly skilled Ecological Research Associate to join its Terrestrial Ecology Team. This permanent, full-time position will work under the supervision of the Head of Terrestrial Ecology and contribute to various research projects focusing on terrestrial ecology.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage farmland-focused field survey, review, and analytical projects.
  2. Develop proposals, scientific reports, literature reviews, data analysis/modelling, and field surveys.
  3. Lead new short-term projects and collaborate with team members on existing work.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a PhD or MSc in ecology or a related field, along with relevant experience. A strong background in research design, data analysis, and fieldwork is essential.

Working Conditions:

This position is based at our HQ in Thetford, Norfolk, with flexible working arrangements allowing for part-time remote work and adaptable start/end times for a healthy work-life balance.

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary of £32,640 per annum, plus an 11% employer pension contribution, providing a comprehensive benefits package.
