Job Title: SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at a school in Basingstoke, Hampshire. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for providing tailored lessons to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver lessons that cater to the individual needs of SEMH students.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with SENCOs and support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to each student's development.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs or SEN is essential.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude towards teaching and behaviour management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
