Job Title: Semi Senior Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Semi Senior Accountant to join our team at Rekroot. As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing financial statements, accounting schedules, and control account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements from source documents/records to final accounts for review by senior management.
  • Develop and maintain accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions included in the financial statements.
  • Work on a wide range of accounts and industries, including small businesses and individuals.
  • Liaise with clients directly or through the relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information.
  • Ensure a high level of service to meet client expectations.
  • Prepare control account reconciliations and assist with audit processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum AAT level 3 qualification.
  • Experience with IRIS software and cloud-based accounting systems, including Xero, VT, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, to an intermediate level.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Confident when dealing with clients and presenting views.
  • Ability to use initiative to identify problems and provide solutions.
