We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transformational Engineering Lead to join our team at Lloyds Banking Group. As a key member of our Commercial Credit Decisioning Lab, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our engineering teams and driving the delivery of industry-leading credit risk management and decisioning capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Lab Product Owner and other stakeholders to develop and implement the Lab's strategic and quarterly objectives and key results.
- Lead the Lab teams in the development and delivery of efficient operating models, ensuring the successful delivery and maintenance of the core technology agenda.
- Develop and manage the technology roadmap, technical debt, and other technical demands, ensuring the Lab's technical solutions are of the highest quality, resilient, and scalable.
- Accountable for the technical solutions team that designs, builds, integrates, deploys, and runs the systems supporting Commercial Credit Decisioning, with a focus on quality, resilience, low latency, and scalability.
Requirements
- Extensive software engineering background with one or more programming languages.
- Strong technical understanding of credit decisioning systems and ability to provide support, knowledge, and mentoring to the teams.
- Experience with agile development methods and tooling, such as Scrum, Kanban, Jira, and Confluence.
- Significant experience leading and working as part of an agile team, with a strong understanding of the relationship between agile definitions and automated delivery.
- Ability to nurture teams, support them through a culture of openness and trust, and make teams the best they can be.
- Strong passion for and technical understanding of credit decisioning systems, with the ability to provide support, knowledge, and mentoring to the teams.
