Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the entire autonomous retrofitting system, including its ownership and development roadmap.
- Design and develop control logics or algorithms for electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct studies to assess the practicality and performance advantages of new mechatronic systems.
- Perform detailed studies to understand the requirements for converting and retrofitting vehicles.
- Identify suitable hardware, sensors, and robotic systems that meet functional safety specifications and vehicle compatibility requirements.
- Design and develop verification and validation processes for autonomous vehicle retrofitting, installation, and commissioning.
- Ensure system design and integration comply with international safety and reliability standards.
- Identify areas for improvement to deliver reliable and robust integrated vehicle robotics with effective regression test cases.
- Provide support during system integration and commissioning phases.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Proficiency in CAN, Ethernet, and other communication technologies.
- Experience with controller programming languages like structural or ladder logic.
- Knowledge of safety analysis tools (e.g., FMEADA) and international safety standards.
- Ability to understand electrical systems and schematics.
- Strong English language skills (spoken and written).
- A continuous desire to learn and improve.
- Experience with automotive systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages like C and C++.
- Experience working with industrial PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
This role offers a salary up to £50,000 and will require candidates to attend the office in Uxbridge five days a week.
