Job Title: TEKLA Draughtsman

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled TEKLA Draughtsman to join our team at Cornerstone Project Source. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed models of structural steelwork using the latest version of TEKLA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model structural steelwork using TEKLA, ensuring all components comply with current building regulations and industry standards.
  • Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) to gather necessary details for general arrangement drawings.
  • Prepare GA drawings using provided templates, adhering to drawing office procedures and project deadlines.
  • Engage with architects, engineers, and clients to collect project information.
  • Collaborate with structural engineers to ensure proper connection of steel members.
  • Create simple joints for steel connections in accordance with industry-standard guidelines.
  • Conduct site surveys, including work at height, with site access supported by the site manager.
  • Produce and organise fabrication drawings for shop floor use.
  • Prepare procurement, manufacturing, and erection lists.
  • Perform detailed take-offs from tender documents.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in TEKLA for structural steel modelling.
  • CSCS card required for site access.
  • Ability to conduct independent site surveys, including working at height.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with architects, engineers, and clients.
