We are seeking an ambitious Junior Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the Information Systems Projects Department.
The role involves:
- Assisting in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of projects from initiation to completion.
- Developing and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, timelines, status reports, and risk logs.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
- Monitoring project progress and helping to resolve issues or escalating them to the Head of IS Projects when necessary.
- Tracking and managing project resources and deliverables.
- Participating in project meetings, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
- Providing support to the Head of IS Projects in reporting, change management, and stakeholder communication.
- Supporting post-project evaluations and assisting in documenting lessons learned.
Requirements for the role include:
- A basic understanding of project management principles, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and best practices.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project).
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, with a proactive and flexible approach.
- Problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
Applicants should have experience in a project support role or as a project coordinator, knowledge of budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management techniques, and familiarity with tools like MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools. A relevant certification such as PRINCE2 Foundation, CAPM, or equivalent is a bonus.
