Job Title: Associate Specialist Doctor

Priory Healthcare is seeking a part-time Associate Specialist Doctor to cover a 28-bed Community Facing Rehabilitation and Recovery service. As a key member of a well-established multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide continuous medical cover to patients on the ward.

About the Role

As an Associate Specialist Doctor, you will be responsible for assessing, investigating, diagnosing, and treating patients under Consultant supervision. You will work with a team of experienced professionals to provide high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous medical cover to patients on the ward
  • Assess, investigate, diagnose, and treat patients under Consultant supervision
  • Work closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist to develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration
  • 12 months' adult psychiatry experience
  • Relevant experience within a similar setting (preferred)
  • Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act (preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice
  • Ability to interview, assess, and treat patients
  • Proven record of CPD
