Job Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and engaging Category Manager to lead the development of a multi-year product plan and drive enhanced category performance. The successful candidate will have a proven commercial background from the Timber/Building Supplies/Commercial fit-out industry and be able to maintain and develop credible relationships with the UK's major contractors and end-user market.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop a multi-year product plan to drive enhanced category performance, ensuring that market and consumer insights are central to your category activity.
  2. Develop new revenue opportunities for a high-margin product range based on quality and service.
  3. Conduct market research and insights, keeping up to date with market trends and economic conditions both locally and nationally.
  4. Liaise with internal stakeholders and sales to leverage stock and sales opportunities to existing and new customers.
  5. Utilise data effectively to provide analysis and insight to inform your approach.
  6. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective sales strategies and promotional campaigns.

Requirements

  1. Highly driven and engaging Category Manager/Marketing/Sales person, who can confidently connect with a new audience.
  2. A proven commercial background from the Timber/Building Supplies/Commercial fit-out industry.
  3. Successfully maintain & develop credible relationships with the UK's major contractors and end-user market.
  4. Professional approach to project delivery with highly developed organisational skills.
  5. Knowledge of the Timber industry and ideally the Veneered product market will be an advantage.
  6. Proficient in the full MS Office suite, Excel specifically.
  7. Full UK driver's license.
