Job Title: Audiologist Specialist

Banding: Band 6 | Location: London | Contract Type: Full-Time (2 months) | Rate: £25 - £28 per hour

Role Overview:

Pulse seeks a skilled Audiologist to join our team at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As an Audiologist Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audiology services, including hearing aid assessments, fittings, and aftercare.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct routine audiology assessments for adults, evaluating hearing levels and determining appropriate interventions.
  2. Fitting and adjusting hearing aids, providing thorough aftercare and guidance to patients on the use and maintenance of their devices.
  3. Collaborate with ENT specialists to support patient care, ensuring seamless communication regarding patient needs and treatment plans.
  4. Manage repairs for hearing aids, troubleshooting issues to restore optimal function.
  5. Handle GP direct referrals, maintaining timely and effective communication with primary care providers.
  6. Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
Requirements:
  • Must be a registered Audiologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Must hold a relevant degree in Audiology.
  • Must have experience in routine adult audiology work, including hearing aid assessment and fitting.
  • Experience in providing ENT support and managing hearing aid repairs is desirable.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to providing patient-centered care and improving patient outcomes.
