The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, managing teams and dealing with internal and external stakeholders on the phone and via email. A strong customer focus, excellent attention to detail, and good IT skills are essential for this position. Ideally, you will have worked within the highways/construction industry, although this is not essential.

The estimated salary for this position is £42,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a Transport Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the Transport Operations Team to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Coordinating highway responses to minimize disruption to road users and communities
  • Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of incidents and defects
  • Liaising with Supervisors and work teams to ensure effective communication
  • Providing general office administration support
