We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at NS85 Ltd, a growing business in the de-carbonisation space of automotive, marine, and aerospace. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of cutting-edge software for electric, fuel-cell, and hydrogen powertrain systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of software for various technologies and products related to electric and fuel-cell powertrain systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software projects using C and C++.
  • Create clean, efficient, and maintainable software adhering to industry best practices.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer within a small, multidisciplinary software team.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate on software testing techniques and development.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Software Engineering or a related discipline, with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in developing base layer operating system software in C & C++.
  • Knowledge of embedded code generation and software testing techniques in C & C++.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development processes and tools like JIRA, and experience with version control practices.
  • A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work with and develop software requirements.
  • A self-starter, who can focus on the overall objective of the project.
