As a Mechanical and CNC Engineer Apprentice, you will be responsible for:
- Acting as an auditor to evaluate production proposals, ensuring the element of the UK Nuclear Deterrent you are responsible for will meet its role.
- Contributing to inter-organisation and international relationships that underpin the management and sustainment of an element of the UK Nuclear Deterrent.
- As your skills are demonstrated over time, you will take a place in the succession plan of this team, with recognised steps in accountability and decision-making authority, and progression into a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP) position.
Key responsibilities include:
Product ManagementManaging products, providing support at all phases of the product life cycle (e.g. develop, make, support, retire), with particular emphasis on production support, in-service support, surveillance, and monitoring of ageing.
Transportation packaging and containers.
Involvement in configuration management and quality assurance, ensuring company outputs meet expectations.
Achieving suitable record management for information requiring long-term traceability.
