Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced care manager to join our expanding team at Home Instead.

As a care manager, you will be responsible for the growth and development of our domiciliary care services, ensuring outstanding quality care. You will work closely with the registered operations manager to take the registration and be responsible for the start-up, growth, and development of our domiciliary services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the setup, growth, and development of a high-quality private domiciliary care service for older adults in the local area
  • Network in the local community to raise awareness of the service
  • Promote the highest standards of care and service
  • Offer support and leadership to the care team
  • Convert new client enquiries and coordinate staffing rotas
  • Ensure compliance by maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and organisational requirements
  • Ensure successful operation of quality control systems and perform quality assurance visits for clients
  • Continually review and improve our processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is always being delivered
  • Effectively manage complaints and incidents, carrying out investigations relating to the quality of the service and using those findings to initiate improvements
  • Responsibility and ownership of Key Performance Indicators
  • Undertake monthly audits including recruitment documentation, accident & incidents, medication & trend analysis

Requirements:

  • Experience in a management role in health and social care is essential
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work well and accurately under pressure
  • Be responsive, agile, and remain calm whilst dealing with multiple priorities
  • Be flexible to meet demands of the business including participating in an on-call rota
  • Knowledge of relevant UK legislation and regulations governing the provision of care services, including CQC regulations
  • Good working knowledge of IT Systems with experience of Microsoft Office
  • A relevant qualification in health or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent) Or the commitment to gaining the qualification within a set timeframe

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
