About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Optos. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development and verification of our cutting-edge retinal imaging products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements
  • Develop and maintain continuous systems test suites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support the production unit in setting up and executing automation infrastructure
  • Evaluate system behavior through automation testing and image analysis
  • Owning and running a testing community of practice to ensure best practices are applied and adopted
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in programming (ideally Python, but other languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, etc. are also acceptable)
  • Experience with DevOps tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with virtual machine management tools (preferably VMWare)
  • Experience with integration of electronic, optical, and mechanical systems/sub-systems
