Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Associate to join our team at Sodexo in Worthy Down. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career or gain experience in retail.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers receive a positive shopping experience every time they visit our store. This involves selling products, operating the till system, and communicating efficiently with colleagues and management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sell products and operate the till system accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding stock management, including taking deliveries, replenishing stock, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Champion new ways of working within the store by adopting an open-minded and proactive approach.
  • Support offers, promotions, and loyalty schemes, contributing to the growth of sales and cost control.
  • Clean the store and facilities regularly, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Confidently challenge customers who appear under 25 when purchasing restricted items.

Requirements

  • A good level of product knowledge and services across the store.
  • Digital capability and familiarity with digital tools and applications.
  • An ability to understand customer needs and identify selling opportunities.
