Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the receipt, supply, and distribution of pharmaceutical products across our hospital site.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our pharmacy team to ensure the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

You will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and checking orders from wholesalers and other companies, ensuring they are stored correctly following Good Distribution Practice principles.

Additionally, you will participate in our pharmacy stock-control program, investigating discrepancies, maintaining, and rotating stock to minimize waste.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will also be responsible for the secure delivery of pharmacy stock to all clinical areas on our hospital site.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive, unpack, and check orders from wholesalers and other companies

Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:
