About the Role

We are seeking an experienced or newly qualified mental health nurse to join our team at Regency Ward, a 20-bedded, male, acute ward located within Mill View Hospital in Hove.

Job Summary

As a mental health nurse, you will work alongside an established and experienced multi-disciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care, supporting patients in their recovery. You will be responsible for assessing patients with complex mental health needs, developing care and recovery plans in collaboration with patients and their families/carers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based inpatient nursing care in partnership with the team, service users, and their families.
  • Act as a primary nurse in the assessment of needs and organisation of care.
  • Co-ordinate shifts and provide supervision for support workers and students.
  • Work within a team of nurses and other professionals committed to delivering a quality service.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty to meet the needs of the service over a 24-hour period.
  • Take charge of a designated clinical area and deputise as appropriate.
  • Represent the Ward Manager and/or care team at appropriate forums and disseminate information as required.
