About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the logistics operation, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a safe working environment, identifying and implementing corrective actions to address any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve safety incidents, ensuring that all employees understand the importance of safe working practices.
- Manage the receipt and tipping of inbound deliveries, ensuring that they are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Represent the department at internal and external customer meetings, providing updates on our operations and performance.
- Communicate with the team to ensure that all shift issues and performance metrics are understood and addressed.
- Manage the development and maintenance of accurate standard work documentation, ensuring that all processes are up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in supervisory roles, with a strong background in logistics and operations.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members to achieve their best.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
