Independent Pipeline Services Limited is a leading provider of pipeline testing and leak detection services in the South Island.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with clients, engineers, project managers, and council representatives to identify opportunities, prepare quotes, and design plans to test and chlorinate pipelines.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the water infrastructure sector and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities will include:
- Quoting, designing, and scheduling work
- Managing clients and projects
- Collaborating with colleagues, clients, and contractors
- Ensuring compliance with IPSL and national standards
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A working knowledge of installing, maintaining, and testing small or large-diameter piping systems
- 5 years of experience in the civil or contracting industry, preferably in the water infrastructure sector
- An understanding of Water Supply networks, including hydraulics, chlorination, leak detection, pressure management, pumping stations, storage/reservoir facilities, and relevant codes of practice
- Working knowledge of statutory legislation, including the Local Government Act, Resource Management Act, and Health and Safety Legislation
- A Full Class 1 driver's license (heavy transport license an advantage)
- A strong safety and quality focus
