Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Patient Access management team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the development of our modern and patient-focused service.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of staff, ensuring the efficient and effective administration of patient services, and achieving performance targets within a healthcare environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of staff to provide an efficient and effective administration service to patients and clinicians
  • Ensuring staff adhere to departmental standard operating procedures and highlighting any issues to senior management
  • Providing cross-cover for other Team Leaders to ensure a consistent and effective service
  • Attending relevant meetings and providing input to senior management
  • Managing the day-to-day organization, management, and welfare of the team

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A good standard of education, including GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Awareness and understanding of waiting list management
  • Previous experience of leadership and operational management of performance targets within a healthcare environment

Desirable qualifications include previous NHS experience and use of Microsoft office packages.
