About the Role

Drive Business Growth in Europe

DP World is seeking a Senior Manager - M&A and Business Development to lead our Europe region. This critical role will ensure the continued growth of our business by identifying and validating value propositions for business development initiatives and investments. You will support the development and deployment of our Logistics strategy for Europe, leveraging your expertise in the logistics and maritime industries.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Produce high-quality financial and strategic analysis to inform Senior Management decisions.
  2. Drive internal and external resources to identify, develop, and execute new and existing investment projects in Europe.
  3. Challenge assumptions and status quo, analyzing information in detail to identify key value and recommend investment plans or transaction structures.
  4. Maintain a viable business development pipeline by identifying potential acquisition targets, conducting due diligence, and negotiating deal terms.
  5. Forge strong relationships with management teams and external stakeholders, including government, regulatory bodies, funders, and local stakeholders.
  6. Manage the full project lifecycle, with a solid understanding of developing large projects from Brownfield or Greenfield.
  7. Build and maintain high-quality external community and industry relations.
  8. Understand volume trends and market intelligence to leverage opportunities and competitive advantage.
  9. Manage contractual relations with service providers to guarantee cost effectiveness.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years' experience in a financial analyst/associate role at an investment bank, accounting firm, top-tier consultancy, or logistics M&A.
  2. Knowledge and experience of the logistics and maritime industries.
  3. Strong numeracy, financial analysis, and strategic planning background.
  4. Demonstrable experience of comprehensive skills in obtaining buy-in and leading key stakeholders for large projects.
  5. Demonstrable experience of managing others efficiently and effectively, especially through indirect reporting structures.
  6. Evidence of leading and driving innovation and enterprise with project management experience.
  7. Good business acumen with a true understanding of economics.
  8. Experience leveraging problem-solving skills in dynamic and complex working engagements.
