Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Hays Senior Finance. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing tax and VAT activities, providing strategic financial and taxation information and advice to internal and external customers, and developing and maintaining standardised ways of working within the team and across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage tax and VAT activities, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Provide strategic financial and taxation information and advice to internal and external customers
- Develop and maintain standardised ways of working within the team and across the organisation
- Assist with employment tax compliance and provide advice on global mobility
- Support the financial accounts team with aspects of monthly and annual reporting
- Work closely with the capital and income accountant on month end capital reporting and controls
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in accounting and taxation, with a focus on tax and VAT. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will need to have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
