A premier specialist eye healthcare service in the Luton area is seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse to join its team. This fantastic new opportunity offers a permanent full-time role for 37.5 hours a week on day shifts from 7:30am-5:30pm.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive an excellent salary of £33,384 - £41,312 per annum, dependent on experience. The benefits package includes:

  • 33 days' holiday (including bank holidays) increasing with length of service
  • Bonus 1 - June, potential to earn up to 5% individual performance-related bonus
  • Bonus 2 - January, potential to earn up to 5% hospital/company-related bonus

Job Description

This exciting role involves working as part of a dedicated theatre team, supporting surgeons during operations and ensuring the highest standards are met in terms of patient safety, clinical compliance, and hygiene levels.

Key duties include:

  • Providing competent scrub provision, anticipating any potential problems and resolving these
  • Cleaning down the theatre and maintaining accurate patient records
  • Managing clinical waste and ensuring correct disposal procedures are implemented
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Qualification as an RGN Nurse with an active NMC Pin or ODP with HCPC registration
  • Previous hospital eye service or private eye clinic experience
  • Knowledge of clinical practice and awareness of current developments in Optometry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume theatre setting

Desirable skills and experience include problem-solving, issue resolution, training, coaching, continuous professional development, and computer proficiency.
