Unlock the Power of Digital Assets

Royal Collection Trust is seeking a skilled Digital Asset Manager to lead the foundational work in preparing our vast catalogue of digital images for transition to a new cloud-based Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. This pivotal role involves collaborating with a wide range of people across the organisation to pave the way for a seamless migration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define a metadata schema and guidelines, review existing file structures, undertake data cleansing, develop automated tagging solutions, and configure the new cloud DAMS environment.
  • Provide technical advice to support integrations with existing systems, working closely with our digital team.
  • Manage the end-to-end project to ensure the successful transition of all our digital files, coordinating with colleagues across the organisation to meet deadlines and specifications.
  • Provide training to users and conduct a full audit of digital assets, working towards consolidating them into a single repository.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work with a collection of international importance, making it accessible to the public through exhibitions, publications, loans, and educational activities. As a Digital Asset Manager, you will be responsible for leading the foundational work in preparing our digital images for transition to a new cloud-based DAM system.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a relevant technical qualification and significant experience in DAM system management or digital image library management.
  • A deep understanding of cataloguing and metadata protocols, together with experience of developing DAM workflows.
  • Specialist expertise in reviewing and improving existing systems, recommending improvements drawing on best practice.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to prepare and coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences, prepare high-quality documentation and briefings, and design and deliver training.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels, but also work independently with initiative.
