Senior Cost Management Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for leading the cost management function and ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Commission Management
- Coach and mentor junior staff members to ensure effective cost management on all projects
- Advise clients on feasibility studies and procurement options
- Manage the estimating and cost planning stages, including presenting the final cost plan to the client
- Tender and procure, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, and compiling the contractual documents
- Conduct contract administration, including dealing with post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Take personal responsibility for peer reviewing cost allowances and carrying out valuations on larger projects
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client
- Contribute to value engineering and negotiate final accounts
- Interface with clients, project managers, and other consultants at all project stages
- Marketing and Business Development
- Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report them to the line manager
- Develop and maintain a professional network of peers and potential clients
- Lead bid submissions and identify ways to improve cost management procedures, templates, and products
- Internal Management Accountabilities
- Ensure that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database
- Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes and refer ideas to the line manager
- Lead the support, development, and mentorship of junior staff members
- Chartered status in a relevant discipline
- Ability to work with autonomy and take initiative
- Highly organized and able to prioritize own workload
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships across the business
- Ability to work well under pressure and delegate tasks to junior team members
