Our client, a leading national housing firm, is seeking a skilled Assistant Site Manager to join their dynamic team at Linear Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in driving construction projects forward while maintaining high standards of health and safety, record-keeping, and client communication.
As the Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of construction sites, overseeing day-to-day activities and implementing effective health and safety practices. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring projects run efficiently and effectively.
- Supporting the site manager in managing and motivating on-site teams, including subcontractors and tradespeople, to deliver high-quality work within strict timeframes.
- Implementing and enforcing health and safety practices, adhering to SMSTS guidelines.
- Liaising with clients, project managers, and suppliers to maintain clear communication throughout the project.
- Monitoring construction progress, identifying and resolving potential issues, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records, including site diaries and health and safety logs.
Requirements for this role include:
- Possession of SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS card qualifications.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational capabilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality projects within deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driving license.
