Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Salaried General Practitioner to join our team in Primary Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.

About the Role

This is a part-time (8.5 hours per week) fixed-term post based in Musselburgh Care Centre. The post is part of the CWIC (Collaborative Working for Immediate Care) Service, which focuses on same-day demand for patient access. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, General Practitioners, and Physician Associates.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients.
  2. Contribute to the development of our service, including the development of new initiatives and the improvement of existing ones.
  3. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  4. Participate in the on-call rota, providing out-of-hours cover as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in general practice, with a focus on primary care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, with a focus on staying up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices.
