Crown Paints is seeking a highly skilled Design Studio Lead to lead a team of 5 studio creatives, ensuring the team is set up for success in delivering against creative briefs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, support, and evaluating performance of the design studio team, ensuring the output of work meets brand guidelines and maintains consistency across all brands.

The role will involve assessing briefs, liaising with designers to assist with studio time estimates, and identifying the correct designers for each project.

Additionally, the Design Studio Lead will be responsible for planning work into the studio, ensuring flexibility in managing quick turnaround jobs alongside larger, longer-term projects.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop the design studio team, identify and develop high-potential candidates, coach, and deliver feedback.

They will also be responsible for driving performance, executing soft management skills, and building trust, honesty, and openness within the team.

The Design Studio Lead will be a good communicator, firm but fair, with great stakeholder management skills.

They will be in tune with developing business needs, responding with team development and training where needed.

The successful candidate will have a sound working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software packages, experience of project management software (Adobe Workfront desirable), and some experience of Microsoft packages such as PowerPoint and Word.
