About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Thames Water. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a portfolio of mechanical, electrical, civil, control, and instrumentation projects valued at up to £5 million annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Work closely with our operations team, including Process Improvement Engineers and our contractor supply chain, to scope, specify, and cost-quality solutions that meet our customers' needs.
  • Develop and implement effective project management plans, including risk management, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM).
  • Oversee the commissioning and handover of projects to our operational clients.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered with the highest level of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Hold an HNC/HND or a degree in Engineering, or have a strong knowledge of being hands-on in the Mechanical and Electrical industry.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Be technically and commercially astute, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary between £41,000 - £55,000 per annum.
  • A car allowance of £4,500 per annum.
  • 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service.
