As a Senior Account Manager for Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK Ltd., you will play a crucial role in promoting dermatology products to healthcare professionals and payors in the North East of England.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of Novartis' biggest and most successful brands, promoting products that have a positive impact on patients suffering from psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa.

You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, developing business plans, and implementing related activities such as customer events, sales & marketing campaigns, and sales presentations. Additionally, you will provide key account network support, market access support, and maintain a deep understanding of the dermatology specialist area and priority products.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree or equivalent in a science, experience working in a UK pharmaceutical company in a dermatology sales role, strong communication and selling skills, and an engaging customer-focused approach. Collaborative skills and proven success with cross-functional working are also essential.

Benefits include a competitive salary of £65,000-£80,000 per annum, a sales incentive bonus, pension scheme, share purchase scheme, health insurance, 25 days annual leave, flexible working arrangements, subsidized dining facilities, employee recognition scheme, and learning and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop business plans and implement related activities to achieve agreed objectives.
  • Accountable for achieving agreed sales, productivity, and performance targets within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Provide Key Account network support, market access support, including referral networks.
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge of products, product strategy, positioning, key messages, programs, company developments, customers, and competitors.
  • Achieve agreed contact, coverage, and frequency targets through various communication channels.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in a science.
  • Experience working in a UK pharmaceutical company in a dermatology sales role.
  • Strong communication and selling skills.
  • Engaging customer-focused approach.
  • Collaborative and has proven success with cross-functional working.
  • In-depth understanding of the UK healthcare system.
