About the Role

XPO is seeking a skilled Transport Operator to support our daily transport operations, ensuring safe, legal, and on-time execution of our transport plan. As a key member of our team, you will work on the early shift, Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 15:00, on a site with over 30 vehicles, dispatching over 50 loads daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all day loads/routes have been dispatched and track drivers to mitigate any risk of failures.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers and debrief drivers to ensure full use of our Track & Trace IT solution.
  • Dispatch trunks and full truck loads on our Transport Management System, ensuring haulier partners are logged into our Track & Trace app.
  • Interact daily with the 3PL warehouse team and communicate key information to management and other shifts to ensure a seamless operation.
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are followed, maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Transport Management System experience, preferably with SHARP.
  • Experience using Track & Trace to support operational decisions.
  • Exposure to transport compliance and regulation.
