Job Description

Barclay Simpson is seeking a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Consultant to lead the development and testing of a comprehensive BC/DR plan for its Critical Applications and Global Executive Office (GEO).

The ideal candidate will have experience in BC/DR planning, preferably within the financial services sector, and a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, global applications, cloud-based services, and cybersecurity principles as they relate to BC/DR.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement BC/DR strategies for global applications and GEO, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and financial services industry best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify potential threats, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure BC/DR plans comply with the latest DORA regulations and other relevant financial industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cohesive BC/DR strategies and provide guidance to business units.

Requirements:

  • Experience in BC/DR planning, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, global applications, cloud-based services, and cybersecurity principles as they relate to BC/DR.
  • Relevant certifications in BC/DR, IT management, and/or risk management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
