Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in retail and be able to maximize sales by maintaining high standards of display and layout in the shop and shop windows.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maximize sales by maintaining high standards of display and layout in the shop and shop windows.
  • Ensure that stock density is maintained, regular rotation of stock is carried out and that maximum realistic prices are obtained on donated items, in accordance with charity guidelines.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the shop, including cash handling and financial management procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the shop.

Requirements:

  • The ability to communicate with tact and discretion.
  • Experience of cash handling and financial management procedures (including completion of sales records).
  • The ability to make decisions within agreed parameters.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritize workload, balancing competing demands.
